چکیده
A halophilic, Gram-staining-negative, rod-shaped, flagellated and motile bacterium, strain QX-1 T, was isolated from deep-sea sediment at a depth of 3332 m in the southwestern Indian Ocean. Strain QX-1 T growth observed 4–50 °C (optimum 37 °C), pH 5.0–11.0 7.0), 3–25% NaCl (w/v; optimum 7%), it did not grow without NaCl. phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene placed genus Halomonas most closely related to sulfidaeris (97.9%), zhaodongensis (97.8%), songnenensis (97.6%), hydrothermalis (97.4%), subterranea (97.3%), salicampi (97.1%), arcis (97.0%). DNA–DNA hybridization ( 10%) are C16:0 (25.5%), C17:0 cyclo (14.0%), C19:0 ω8c (18.7%), summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω7c and/or C18:1 ω6c, 18.1%). The polar lipids mainly diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, unidentified phospholipid, aminophospholipid, five lipids. main respiratory quinone is Q-9. G + C content its chromosomal DNA 54.4 mol%. Its fatty acid profile, quinones, also support placement Halomonas. These phylogenetic, phenotypic, chemotaxonomic analyses indicate that novel species, for which name maris proposed. type (= MCCC 1A17875T = KCTC 82198 T = NBRC 114670 T).

A moderately halophilic, Gram-negative bacterium, designated strain BH843(T), was isolated from a solar saltern in Korea and subjected to a taxonomic analysis. Strain BH843(T) grew at salinities of 1-14 % (w/v) NaCl and at temperatures of 10-40 degrees C. The cells were motile cocci or short rods with single flagella and contained C(16 : 0), C(19 : 0) cyclo omega8c and C(17 : 0) cyclo as the ma...

A total of 34 Halomonas strains were isolated from saline water in Anmyeondo, Korea. Ten of these strains, considered to belong to novel species, were subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic investigation. The strains were Gram-negative, moderately halophilic, motile and non-spore-forming rods that contained Q-9 as the predominant ubiquinone and C(18 : 1)omega7c, C(16 : 0) and either summed feature...

A moderately halophilic bacterium, strain CG2.1T, isolated from a solar saltern at Cabo de Gata, a wildlife reserve located in the province of Almería, southern Spain, was subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. This organism was an aerobic, motile, Gram-negative rod that produced orange-pigmented colonies. Strain CG2.1T was able to grow at salinities of 3-25 % (w/v) and at temperatures of 1...
